Barns

Barns are so interesting and intriguing. These two we came across a couple of years ago on a vacation.

Change of pace . . .

No new garden pics for awhile. We are in the process of tearing the old deck out and replacing it. What a mess. I had to move plants to protect them, not to mention summer deck furniture. So I went back through some of my old favorite photos that I found interesting. The top one was taken in the northwest wine country of CA and I thought this house was so interesting. I would loved to see inside. The lower pic is of an old abandoned stone cabin (until recently) in the Sierras. The workmanship on the fireplace is amazing. The top wheel looked like petrified wood. It is just a one room little cabin. Would have been cute and cozy in the snow if it was refurbished.

The Ocean

We spent a couple of days on the coast where the weather was just perfect, in contrast to the scorching weather at home.

This flower and bee were in a friends garden. The bee was busy while I got this picture. At another friend's garden, I took a picture of this great old rusty bike.

Great old rake - not mine. This was a photo I took in Ever After, one of my favorite shops. Great inspiration and great stuff. Unfortunately, the shop is closing. A lot of people will miss it.

Cows on the Run on Hwy 1

On one of our many trips to the coast, we came to a herd of cows that had broken through their fence and were wandering on the highway. Fortunately, it was an area where people can't drive too fast. We stopped and I had to take pics. This pretty brown cow was as curious about what I was doing as I was about her.
