This seems like an unusual re-purposing, but it worked. This old sieve has found it's way into our house and onto a lamp to serve as a lamp shade. The sieve had been residing outside in the garden for a number of years. It had succulents planted in it for part of that time. Yesterday I was out in the garden wandering around looking for something else and my eyes settled on the sieve and saw a lampshade. There's just no explanation for what happens sometimes. So I took it in the house, gave it a good wash and looked for a lamp it might fit. And here it sits.
We live next to a beautiful little creek. And, for years now, I have loved to Rummage through old stuff. Hence the name Creekside Rummager. I love flea markets, junk stores, and unique shops that are artistic in what they do with old stuff. My blog is a place to gather photographs of things I find beautiful, interesting, and fun. This will include rust, chippy paint, wire, and old junk, but will also include gardens, favorite places and animals. All of these things are apart of our lives.

Lani, I love it! The lamp is so cool that way. It was so nice to spend the evening together. I enjoyed watching you all create your different pieces. Terry
